Leading open source software provider chooses TrueAbility platform to expand their performance-based testing options to broaden user accessibility, increase success rates, and reduce costs. SUSECON
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (PRWEB) SEPTEMBER 26, 2017 – TrueAbility, the provider of performance-based assessment services, today announced SUSE, a leading global open software provider, has selected the TrueAbility platform to help scale its professional certification program by implementing performance-based testing for its SUSE Certified Engineer (SCE) and SUSE Certified Administrator (SCA) exams. Previously, SUSE relied on traditional multiple-choice tests and in-person training facilities to qualify candidates. To date, SUSE has four certification exams running on TrueAbility. They are announcing at SUSECON.
“After an extensive review of program development options, we selected TrueAbility because of their unique end-to-end performance-based assessment solution that addressed our needs on every level,” said SUSE Certification Architect Ross Brunson. “TrueAbility has allowed us to go back to our core competencies and focus on what we do best–developing a path of training and development enabling users to excel at using SUSE products. We are excited to move forward with an automated approach that increases end-user success by giving them the most realistic experience using our technology.”
Since deploying TrueAbility, SUSE has improved its certification path by 100 percent. The company has eliminated geographical and scheduling conflicts, allowing for user accessibility worldwide 24/7, improved user experience with real-world exam scenarios, and reduced costs utilizing remote proctoring. Alongside SCE- and SCA-Enterprise Linux certification exams, SUSE has introduced a new performance-based certification exam to its portfolio running on TrueAbility: SCE-OpenStack Cloud.
“TrueAbility’s mission is to make it easy to deliver performance-based assessments globally, and working with SUSE validates this against an enterprise workforce which operates in a computer-working world,” said Frederick Mendler, CEO, TrueAbility. “With our platform and expertise, SUSE has been able to deliver complex performance-based exams at scale for their certification program. Thus, ensuring individuals are given every opportunity to succeed in a non-biased, real-world testing environment.”
SUSE performance-based exams will be part of the free exam certification track for attendees of SUSECON 2017, to be held September 25-29 in Prague, Czechia.
